It was great hanging with my niece and nephew, as ive mentioned, I hardly get time to do so being so far away.  Izzy is an encyclopedia of knowledge on at least one subject – DINOSAURS!  I love her mom’s facebook posts saying she has to look things up Izzy says…pure smarty pants.

Can’t wait; have a family photo shoot this weekend so tune in for new posts.

I have been editing for a project and ran across this one.  Just as I thought I was getting through them all I keep finding some more great ones.  Carley and Isabella are my models here.

Ellie wanted to be in the shoot as well and after a brief huddle she got her wish.

I was sitting on the couch with everyone and noticed the light coming through these windows and got the idea for these shots.  It was interesting propping Amber up so her belly was surrounded with light.  We found that a chair was our best option.

It was after this series of shots that we called it a wrap for the day.  Jackson is not all that cooperative.  Most of the great shots I have of him are candids and for some reason thought he would be easy to work with…He knows he is getting his picture taken because he will look at you (very briefly) and say CHEESE, then continue with whatever interests him more.  So, for some reason he was working with us and I rolled off several frames of him being cute with his family.

I want to send a special note to someone I had no idea was looking at my blog and am honored she is doing so (as I am with everyone who does). THANK YOU ALL!  Heather’s younger sister Lizzie, along with Leslie, had their first day of school yesterday and Lizzie was telling Heather all about it.  She asked if I had any new posts up and that when she got home she was going to check them out.  Thanks Lizard, here are some new posts…

I was relaxing comfortably when Heather comes running in the room.  ‘Time for a shoot’ she tells me.  I remember telling her that I wanted to have one soon but was not in the mood.  Regardless, I got out of my funk and we got some shots!  We will be doing another one soon where we go on location to some old buildings and a rustic feel to it.  Stay tuned!

I am also hoping to update blog hosting to PHOTOBYNUMBERS.COM (dropping the wordpress) so it rolls off the tongue more easily.

Some might go with milk and cookies or a brew and a burger…you can always pick and choose what works for you!  I dig the choice.

After being announced to the audience my sister and Dave had their first dance as Husband and Wife!  Talking to her today, I cannot believe three weeks have passed already.

I joked with Amber that I was going to call the series of shots in front of her shed ‘big as a barn’.  Turns out that it the perfect title for this image.

On the last day we were in town the sun decided to poke its head out and we were able to get some of the shots I was looking for.  Here we are in the backyard which is usually full with rows and rows of corn.  Guess this was not the best time for the farmer.

In my last post I mentioned the character that is Jackson.  Thought I would refresh your memory with this recent capture.  I could not ask for better on-demand looks from this kid.  It was great to spend the weekend with him and his parents!

We went up to Indiana this weekend for a couple of reasons.  One of them being my first maternity shoot.  We put together lots of ideas from other blogs and websites but really ended up winging it and just using what was around us.  For example, we were at this park and Heather came up with the idea for me to climb to the top of this slide and shoot down.  These are the steps where you can even catch the name of their city ‘Kokomo’ etched in them.  This is Amber who is Heather’s younger sister and on child number two.  You have seen posts with her first handful; Jackson the curly, fro-ish blonde-haired terror.  We took pictures the whole weekend so I have plenty more posts to come.

Will-i-am recently had his 2nd birthday!  I do not get to see him or his big sister, Isabella (dinosaur genius), very often.  It was great to be able to spend some quality time with everyone on our Cape Cod getaway.

It has been years and years since I have been to Provincetown, MA.  An interesting spot to visit and so we brought Heather there for the first time.  We walked up and down the streets which were made up mostly of people doing the same thing.  So many, in fact, that we took over the street.  Cars had to carefully sneak by and be patient.

After a while we decided to stop for a drink before heading back to meet for dinner.  We ended up at Patio which is famous for their mojitos and frozen drinks.  Pricy but tasty.  The couple next to us ordered the oyster appetizer and Heather decided she had to have one.  I persuaded her not to ask the nice folks next to us if she could have one of theirs but unable to thwart her from doing the same from our waiter.  Huh, turns out they sell them individually!

Every family has one, they can turn any situation any conversation into something to laugh about!  the family comedian!  thats steve, or as his wife calls him – Covieo.  Which is strange to hear since that is her last name as well.  hmmm.  I have heard it before, that guy from the apprentice.  He and his wife have a show now and she only calls him by his (their) last name…

Set out early this AM to take my stepfather Jim surf casting for his birthday.  “Lets take the old geezer fishing” was the title of the emails going back and forth between us kids. Most of us got to go and we had fun.  Did not, however, catch a ‘whopper’ or as many as I had envisioned being the master fisherman I am.  At least Jim caught 1 of the 2 we scored!  They were blue fin (i believe) and these suckers had some teeth…

I am getting so much positive feedback and requests about my posts, so thank you all !  Its much appreciated.  I love sharing these images with you.  And there are many more to come from this week alone.

My gorgeous and hilarious cousin, Jamie, recently commented and thought no better way to oblige than to post some of her.  I don’t get to see her all that much, although, a lot more than when she lived on the left coast.  My cousins have been a huge part of our growing up, love spending time with them.  If you’re in the area (providence, rhode island) check out her shop, lovebugs.
